Madera Golf & Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Madera, California.
Madera Golf and Country Club first opened for play in 1953. The par-72 course was designed by Bob E. Baldock
Madera Golf and Country Club is a private, member owned, golf course presenting variety, challenge, beauty, and excitement for everyone from the high handicapper to the scratch golfer. Over the years considerable effort has been made to retain the original design of golf architect, Bob Baldock. However, in recent years many features have been carefully enhanced such as new tee blocks, reshaped bunkers, and restyled greens, further enhancing its unique personality.
The front nine holes, built in 1953, present the golfer with an outgoing masterpiece of easy rolling hills, powerfully displayed eucalyptus trees, and smaller greens. The incoming nine holes, completed in 1964, calls the golfer to enjoy a distinct number of holes with youthful pine trees, larger subtly breaking greens, and the challenge that comes from a greater measure of wind.
From the back tees, Madera plays to a 6,647 yards for a course rating of 71.2 and a slope rating of 127.
